Honeymoon in Riviera Maya!

Bienvenidos! Welcome!

Our honeymoon was hands down the best vacation I have ever been on in my life. I initially wanted to go to Italy honeymoon but we decided to go to Mexico because all-inclusive! I heard about CheapCaribbean and how affordable it is and how you can basically book you’re enter trip through them including flights, lodging, and excursions.

Check out some of our photos from our trip!

Our flights: We flew frontier and honestly I would not suggest you fly them. We had a 7 hour delay which caused us to miss out on a whole day for our honeymoon. They did give us a $200 voucher but I don’t think that is really worth it to fly them again if Im being honest. But I guess if you are desperate it is a good budget airline to fly just don’t expect really comfortable seats or a free snacks & drinks on the flight.

Our resort: I spent a few days on the CheapCaribbean website looking for the perfect resort in Mexico. I didn’t want to stay at a resort with children or one that looked so outdated. I happily stumbled upon the TRS Yucatan which was just recently renovated. One of the best part is that the TRS Yucatan is apart of two other resorts, so we had access to 3 resorts throughout our stay and they provided free golf cart rides throughout our stay. But the best part was our room which we upgraded for a private junior pool. Upon arrival to our resort we were greeted with a warm towel and a glass of champagne. Then we had our own butler to give us restaurants recommendation. The room was absolutely exquisite with a walk in shower, king size bed, and a couch. Since it was an all inclusive we didn’t have to worry about food or drinks. I almost forgot that on our last day we attended the resort CHIC Cabaret show and it was amazing.

The excursions: Initially we only added one excursion but decided to add one more. Our first excursion was amazing it was called Jungle Maya, where we first rappelled into the Cenotes and then we swam and snorkeled in Cenotes and did 5 zip lines and ended the day with the best Mexican cuisine I could ever ask for. Our second excursion was snorkeling in the second largest coral reef in the world. Which we took a booze cruise to get there, which we didn’t really drink too much, okay I didn’t really drink due to a sensitive stomach.

Our Honeymoon adventure was more than we could have ever hoped for. although we missed out on a full day, we had the best time while we were there. I hope to return to the TRS Yucatan resort and get to have more use out of everything that they offer. If anyone else has been to Mexico what is your favorite resort or thing to do there?
