My Second year at the Renegade Craft Fair

I attended the Renegade Craft with my trusty side kick Noah(my dog) for the 2nd time in a row. I learned that this year was the 16th year that it had been at Division St. in Wicker Park between Damen Ave. and Ashland Ave. I attended last year on a whim, someone I met the night before told me about it and I decided to go since its literally less than a 10 minute walk from my house. How could I not. Since I was with my dog and he can be kinda crazy, I didnt get to get any great photos.

Anyway, the best part is its free to attend and dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed or in my case, I carried my dog in his carrier. Don't feel pressured to buy the first thing you like, there are so many vendors that you may find something you like more. And even if you end up not purchasing anything from the 400+ vendors, it's just great to be surrounded by so many people who use their gifts to create and make magnificent crafts!

The difference between this year and last year is that this year I bought something besides food. I really like food and can always justify spending money on food because it tastes so delicious.

Last year I bought Sweet potato praline pie from Justice of the Pies, unfortunately, they didn't have that flavor this year. I did get a peach praline pie and a banana pudding! I really wanted to get the lavender blueberry pie and I should have but I just couldn't justify it. Luckily Justice of the pies is local to Chicago so I will be getting my fix sometime soon. Along with the food I bought tacos from Three Legged Tacos. I almost forgot that I bought a snack pack for my little pooch, I dont know the company name but will let you know once I find out.

Now my favorite purchase was a sample size of CBD oil. I have been wanting to try it for some time. Let me know if you want to hear about my experience with it. But I have been wanting to try it for my headaches and for sleeping.I didnt buy any other crafts that I really wanted to due to the fact that I shouldnt be spending money on impulse buys. But next year I will make sure I budgest some funds so I can go all out!

Going to the Renegade craft fair has me thinking I should really get into my crafts. I really love ceramics and saw so many lovely ceramic creations and I know that I can do the same. After my wedding, I might take another ceramics class so I can get back into the flow of creating. I know I ramble on and if you're reading this its too late because the fair is over but it will be back in Chicago on Dec 1 & 2 at the Bridgeport Art Center, click here to learn more.
