About to watch Riverdale Season 2!!!
Fall is my favorite season, it always has been. I loved the crisp leaves and the cool fall breeze. I cant be the only one who was obsessed with going back to school, especially back to school shopping. Fall is such a great time which is why I made sure I get married in the fall. I love fall so much I had to write a whole post about it.
I’m sharing the 5 reasons why I love fall and why you should too.
Fall is a gateway season into the Holidays
I am a total sucker for the holidays. I love spending time with those that I love and I feel people are usually the nicest during the prequel to Thanksgiving and Christmas. But let’s be honest Halloween is the best. Hocus Pocus anyone.
Fall fashion is the coziest
Don’t get me wrong the summer is great and all, but I hate sweating. I like my body temperature to be at a nice comfortable temperature. Which is why I love fall weather. The weather is cool and breezy and you can layer up as much as you need to, to have the ideal body temp. I have linked a few of my favorite fall trends. (all from TJ Maxx)
Time to start fresh
I always associate Fall as a time to start fresh maybe its because I spent 17 years of my life in school. every fall we start a brand new school year, which I have ingrained in my mind that fall is the start of a new school year or a time to start fresh.
Fun Fall activities
I haven’t been able to do a lot of the #basic fall activities that I want to do, but this weekend I will partake in a mini shopping spree for my new job that I start on Monday. Here are all the fall activities I want to partake in.
- carving or painting pumpkins
- apple picking
- corn maze and/or haunted house
- classic scary movies
- binge-watching Season 2 of Stranger Things on 10.27
- spending time with my fiance
Let’s be social
Now watching Atypical on Netflix

Hey, guys, I don’t know about you but I’m so excited that Chicago finally decided to join the fall gang. I am so over that unnecessary heat wave. And I’m ready to cozy up with lots of scarves and blankets and spiders am I cute adorable dog and fiance. But this sort of isn’t a fall-related post.
Guys it has been over a year and your girl and your boy have finally picked a wedding date and venue! We are literally getting married a year from last weekend 9.29.18. So put it in your calendars and mark it as the best day ever, because it will be next year for me.
But I’m so excited for my wedding next year and to be walking down the aisle in all white I thought I’d do the most taboo thing I could ever do in style to pull off an off the shoulder look in all white. Yes, you heard me. Fashion has no boundaries and I plan on pushing them.
What I am wearing is this off the shoulder white dress I got from the Nordstrom rack sale I haven’t worn yet but I’ve been waiting for it to get cool outside so I can wear it and I think this is a perfect fall look. I paired it with my trusty brown leather booties (I got these 2 years ago from Cole Haan) and that is it. I totally would add a denim jacket if I needed more warmth. I have linked similar styles down below. I love keeping things cute and simple, when you are wearing such a pretty white off the shoulder dress like this, I feel like you don’t need to accessorize with it unless that is your style, then by all means accessorize.
Here I am rocking this off the shoulder dress in essentially my porch area!
I found some similar options that I have posted down below. Enjoy!
With the temperature rising and summer fast approaching, I thought it only appropriate to dive into an issue that isn’t really talked about “Thigh Chafing“. After the whole thigh gap phase, people decided to spread self-love to those who do not have natural skinny thighs and started saying thick thighs save lives. I was team thigh gap only for one reason, it meant that those with thigh gaps don’t have to suffer the physical pain of chafing, or having to prematurely throw out your favorite pair of jeans over and over again because your thighs rub a hole in the crotch area. Or having to pull your shorts out of your crotch every five seconds while walking. But the worst problem with having thick thighs is chafing and how painful it can be. I love my thighs but they cause me so much pain. Which is why I decided to share two simple tips to combat chub rub when wearing shorts and dresses during the summer.
One day I thought I wondered if my deodorant would help my legs glide smoothly versus chaffing up a storm. And man does it work. If you are going out in the summer with your daisy dukes on rub some deodorant between thighs before you jet out the door, seriously you can thank me later. Don’t forget to carry a stick deodorant with you so you can reapply throughout the day.
Where have you been all my life? It’s better than having to wear spandex shorts or tights all the time and honestly, the lace ones can look really sexy.( wink wink) The ones I have are brown lace to match my skin tone and they have the no-slip silicone around the top and bottom of it so that you don’t have to worry about them rolling up or down. I’ve worn mine twice and the first day I wore them I was driving on a hot day and getting in and out of my car and walking around and they didn’t budge. I honestly forgot they were there. I only had to make sure of crossing my legs since my dress was on the short side, didn’t want people knowing my secret. But too late because the cat is out of the bag. You could also wear them with shorts for a sexy edgy look. Bandelettes are the true hero of this blog post and I hope that women around the world who suffer from chaffing can now live more carefree and stress-free lives with the aid of a pair of bandelette.

Does it feel like Spring? Maybe just a tad I’m not too sure. Well, it is almost here!
Springtime is one of my favorite times of the year, in college I knew it was approaching spring when everyone was outside playing frisbee or catch or when all the fraternities blasted music on my walk back to my dorm. Anyway, that’s in the past.
Spring is amazing because all winter we were bundled up in a cocoon now we can emerge like the beautiful butterflies that we are and flutter our wings and fly.
Onto the real reason for this blog post, I have been wanting to do a review on this amazing top I purchased from my friend Emily, she has her own online boutique which features affordable trendy styles. I bought this a few weeks ago on her 1 year anniversary of having her boutique. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful blues and the Crisscross opening.
When I received my package it came with a free pair of white druzy earrings(i wear them every day now) and a thank you card and what I assume is a business flyer, all in all, it is phenomenal branding. I got a size medium and it fits perfectly. I will definitely be wearing it more now that the weather should be getting warmer.
Unfortunately, this top is sold out but there are more amazing items you can find at the HiddenGem.
If you are like me then you love when you feel the first fall breeze, and you immediately think riding boots, long strolls through the park and pumpkin spiced everything. I have decided to compile my most favorite things about fall, and what you can and should do this fall.
4 Things to do this fall, that you probably do every year.
1. Corn maze
It may be a bit too early for this, but I love the corn maze. the one i would go to also had a pumpkin patch and a haunted maze!!! Grab your a few friends and go explore a corn maze and see if you can make it out. Make it a game and try to make it out in an hour. Or make it a date night with hot chocolates and go later at night to have a great night of talking and trying to figure you’re way through the maze.
2. Trails, Parks, and Paths O My..
I have always loved a great walk. I think it was all the evening walks I took with my family after dinner that got me hooked. I live in Indy so I love the Monon trail. The great thing about the Monon is that it literally runs through the entire city of Indianapolis so no matter where you are you should be able to hop on and enjoy a nice scenic route.
3. Pumpkin everything
If you knew me say about 4 years ago, I wouldn’t care or even believe the hype of pumpkin flavored anything. I think it happened when I tasted pumpkin flavored cookies, and I fell in love. Quick backstory I had never really had anything pumpkin flavored before, my family is from the south and for thanksgiving we make sweet potato pies not pumpkin pies. So while out at the grocery store pick up a few pumpkin flavored like pumpkin flavored toaster strudels or candles, I did. Oh I almost forgot Starbucks has started selling PSL, basic girls everywhere rejoice!!
If you’re like me you love to shop, but cant do it as much due to priorities i.e bills, Netflix binge watching, waiting to trim down a few sizes.
So heres 4 fall staples I think every woman should have or aspire to have. You can never go wrong with a great black bootie to go with anything from jeans to dresses and cardigans. I also have a huge obsession with the color mahogany which is why i picked a mahogany kate spade cedar street maise which i have one in a different color i cant think of at the moment. Enjoy
